As the sun rises and sets, I will write, sketch, sing.

When the sun is high in the sky, I will sow, repair, hunt, build, forage, reap.

Before the sun rises and after the sun sets, I will eat and sleep.

I will inhabit stories only when the moon is at its most swollen.

On the milestone days, I will celebrate with ceremony –

So when the day is perfectly balanced and it is harvest time, I will share a story at its fullest – something complete.

So when the day is shortest and the night overwhelms, I will share a story of fear – without shame.

So when the day is perfectly balanced and it is planting time, I will share a story at its beginning – before it even knows what it is.

So when the days are longest and the night is under control, I will share a story of courage – without shame.

This will be my pathway through the madness.
